My name is Samantha, but you can call me Sam! I am a 21-year-old graphic designer in Boston, MA. I am currently a junior at Boston College, majoring in Communications and Philosophy and scheduled to graduate in 2010. I have been playing around with basic HTML since I was 13, and my first designs were made using Microsoft Paint, when that was still the rage. I have thankfully upgraded from MS Paint and Notepad to Photoshop and Dreamweaver, and have even gotten the hang of vectors and page layouts in Illustrator and InDesign.

Now, I have designed many flyers, posters, websites, logos, etc for various organizations, including the Undergraduate Government of Boston College, the Boston College Student Admission Program, the Office of Residential Life at Boston College, FIRST Robotics Team #230: the Gaelhawks, and more. I specialize in manipulation of text and images to make original logos that aid in brand recoginition.

           

While I am currently searching for internships during the summer and fall of 2009 and the spring of 2010, I will eventually be looking for a full-time job at an advertising agency, where I can start my career in graphic design.
